Favor

Thank you, God. Your Word is truth. We have a heartbeat. A beautiful flutter in my womb. The baby has grown a great deal since our 5-week ultrasound. We are now 7 weeks pregnant, or about two months if you prefer. I've learned a great deal in the past six months, about myself and Drew, and about God. I feel my heart is in a far better place and rejoice to know that our God is a good God. He is good no matter what. He is good if we miscarry next week. He is good if our child is mentally retarded. He is good if life has no "hiccups" and we coast along under His love. He is gracious and merciful.

Psalm 90: 12-17
So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. Return, O Lord! How long? Have pity on your servants! Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, and for as many years as we have seen evil. Let your work be shown to your servants, and your glorious power to their children. Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!

He has shown us favor. His love is so great. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Jesus!
